Timber Construction – excellent

Engineering timber construction in the Philippines. After the successful airport construction in Cebu, which has received multiple international awards, another, even larger airport was built in Pampanga near Manila in the Philippines. The roof constellation of Clark Airport is a visual but also functional masterpiece and covers a roof area of 47,000 m2. It can easily withstand a Category 5 hurricane. About 7,000 m3 of glulam were processed. The architecture of the roof areas has been adapted to the organic shape of the surrounding mountains and thus it fits perfectly into the landscape.
