WHISKY DISTILLERY – SCOTLAND
Timber Constrution – Excellent
The world-famous Macallan Whiskey, also referred to as the “Rolls Royce among the Malts” – has received a new roof form made of wooden beams in 2016. The roof surface serves as a grass roof and extends with a total length of 200 meters. Thus the optically hill-like construction fits perfectly into the landscape of Scotland. After completion, this rather special building will serve as a showroom or visitor centre.
